Dear Professor Landow,

On sighting your Victorian Web and the paper 'Convict Women and Sexual Subjugation in 19th Century Australia', I was moved to write the following three pages which question the sources used. These notes pages rely on my successful 1997 thesis 'The Fabrication of Evidence in Early Australian History : The Case of Joseph Foveaux on Norfolk Island 1800-1804' supporting an MA (Hons) degree to be conferred by Macquarie University (Sydney, Australia) later this year.

You may wish to use these notes to balance some of the fables currently expressed in 'Convict Women and Sexual Subjugation;'
