It should be pointed out here that film making is essentially a visual but also spatial medium of expression / communication: the cinema as a dark place for viewing; the spacious screen of the cinema as opposed to the TV small screen; film posters and their geographical contexts; the physical and spatial practice of film making , either in studios or in real locations; the material length of the film itself before projection, and the work of montage on that matter / material through cutting, reduction, combination and juxtaposition.
