Sri Veerama Kaliamman Temple
Serangoon and Belelios Roads, Singapore
Temple doors have elaborate carvings and are decorated with festoons and buntings on special occasions. A popular form of decoration is the placing of banana trees on each side of the entrance. Bananas are also used as offerings to the deity. Temple doors often have bells for decorative purposes. The bell is seen as a symbol of the mystical primal sound.
